Kissimmee Airport Elects 2010-2011 Advisory Board Leadership
Kissimmee, FL – July 13, 2010 – Kissimmee Gateway Airport (ISM) announces that its Airport Advisory Board has completed its annual officer elections. The Board has elected Candy Bennage as chairwoman and Cliff Clover as vice chairman for the 2010-2011 term. Board members serve as liaisons who facilitate dialog among the City of Kissimmee, public organizations and private businesses to listen to issues and work toward efficient resolutions.
"Candy's and Cliff's backgrounds in aviation and years' experience with Kissimmee Airport will help us effectively work with City of Kissimmee commissioners and Airport tenants to continue increasing the Airport's economic impact," said Terry Lloyd, director of aviation at the Airport.
Bennage has held multiple positions in the aviation industry for more than 15 years; is a member of Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) and Women in Aviation International (WAI); and represents the Airport on the City of Kissimmee's Metroplan Committee.
Clover is actively involved in Pilots N Paws, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the safe transportation of rescue animals; is a member AOPA; and was on the Board of Directors for Osceola County Association of Realtors. He's been in the aviation industry for more than 27 years.
The City of Kissimmee Commission appoints the Airport's Advisory Board members to three-year terms, and officer elections are held annually. Airport Advisory Board meetings are held the third Wednesday of every month in the Airport Administration's conference room, and the general public is welcome to attend.
