Kissimmee Gateway Airport Begins the New Year with Record Fuel Sales
and Sky High Operations

Kissimmee, FL – January 21, 2008 – Kissimmee Gateway Airport (ISM) ended 2007 strong, positioning it for an even stronger 2008.

The airport reported record fuel sales of 2,348,601 gallons, surpassing last year’s record by more than 45,000 gallons.

“We never expected our 2007 fuel sales to even come close to our 2006 sales,” states Terry Lloyd Director of Aviation at ISM.  “In 2006 the Orange County/Orlando Convention Center hosted the National Business Aviation Association which brought over 200 additional jet aircraft to our airport.  The fact that those sales were surpassed proves we are definitely on the right track,” adds Lloyd.

Aircraft operations at ISM for 2007 were the highest in airport history, totaling 169,022. This is an increase of 9.8% over 2006.

The record fuel sales and history-making operations numbers could very well be attributed to ISM’s January, 2007 commissioning of an Instrument Landing System (ILS) – an instrument approach system that provides precise electronic guidance to an aircraft approaching a runway. The addition of this system allows for Part 135 charter companies to fly into the airport.

Not only was 2007 dynamic for ISM on the fuel and operations front, but national FBO Signature joined the airport, and Ranger Jet Center broke ground on close to a million square feet of corporate office space, hangars, and ramp and apron space.
