New Air Ambulance Operation Landing at Kissimmee Gateway Airport

Kissimmee, FL – April 20, 2007 –Air Methods, doing business as LifeNet, plans to station an air ambulance helicopter out of Attractions Jet Center, a fixed base operator at Kissimmee Gateway Airport this month. This will be the first air ambulance located in Osceola County.

LifeNet uses state of the art helicopters to serve as an airborne emergency center, transporting critical patients to specialized medical centers from referring hospitals and on-the-scene accidents. LifeNet provides medical care and direction; 24-hour dispatch and communications; medical billing and collections; and aircraft operation and maintenance. Their on-board flight team includes a highly trained EMS pilot, critical care flight nurse, and a flight paramedic or emergency physician.

“The airport is proud to partner with LifeNet to make sure Osceola County residents receive the best emergency medical care,” said Terry Lloyd, director of aviation. “Our location and facilities are a perfect fit for the LifeNet operation and it’s a service that will directly benefit the local community.”
