| Young Eagles to Take Flight at Kissimmee Gateway Airport
Kissimmee, FL – November 2, 2006 – The Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Chapter 74 will host a Young Eagles Flight Rally at Kissimmee Gateway Airport on Saturday, November 11, 2006. The event is open to youth ages 8 to 17 years old..
The rally is part of the EAA Young Eagles Program, which was created to spark youths’ interest in aviation. Since the program first launched in 1992, volunteer EAA pilots have flown more than 1.1 million young people from more than 90 countries.
In addition to the complimentary flights, the rally will include static displays, educational lessons on airplanes and safety procedures, as well as goodie bags. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. at Atlantic Aviation, with flights starting at 9:00 a.m.
