| Young Eagles Soar at Kissimmee Gateway Airport
Kissimmee, FL – January 8, 2007 – The Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Chapter 74 hosted a Young Eagles Flight Rally at Kissimmee Gateway Airport. More than 20 children, ages 8 to 17 years old, participated in the event.
In addition to the complimentary flights, the rally included a pancake breakfast, static displays, educational lessons on airplanes and safety procedures, as well as goodie bags.
The EAA Young Eagles Program was created to spark youths’ interest in aviation. Since the program first launched in 1992, volunteer EAA pilots have flown more than 1.1 million young people from more than 90 countries.
